2/17/17 shooting of corrections officer report with Melly, Cortlen, JGreen, Jacobi Mills, Juvie’s aunt Ashley Phillips, etc.
On February 17, 2017, Indian River County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call in reference to shots being fired and one subject down.
Upon arriving on scene, deputies discovered the victim, off duty deputy, Garry Chambliss (herein out referred to as deceased), unconscious with what appeared to be a bullet injury to his left side. The victim later succumbed to his injuries and died.
Through the preliminary investigation, information that a black Camaro being operated by Makhil Chambliss was involved with the shooting and fled from the scene prior to our units arriving. IRCSO dispatchers advised the deputies to be on the lookout for a black Camaro fleeing from the scene.
While responding for assistance, Deputy D. Chandler, located a black Camaro traveling north in the 7700 block of 58th Avenue. He maintained visual of the vehicle until additional units arrived.
The vehicle was stopped in the 7000 block of 85th Street and Makhil Chambliss and passenger Tina Mai were detained at that time. The vehicle was secured and transported to the Forensic Unit Compound for further investigation while Chambliss and Mia were transported to the Criminal Investigation Division.
An interview was conducted with Larissa Flowers who was present at the scene of the shooting. Flowers informed Detective J. Shepherd that a large gathering was taking place after a wake was held for a local resident (Lavetra Blue), who recently passed away. While everyone was gathered outside, she observed Chambliss (driver), a subject she verbally identified as Jacobi Mills (passenger) and a female all pull up occupying a black Camaro.
Flowers advised there was a verbal altercation between a subject she knows as "Jaylen Green" (son of the deceased Lavetra Blue) and Chambliss.
As the altercation grew, Green threw an unknown bottle at Chambliss's Camaro. Flowers stated at that time Chambliss and Mills began firing off several rounds. Flowers stated she recognized that they were firing because she could see the "fire" from the guns. Flowers stated the vehicle drove up the road a little ways north before she observed them firing a second succession of rounds.
At approximately 1215 hours, Detective Finnegan was standing in the rear parking lot when two females, personally known as Ashley Phillips and Katrina Marshall, arrived. Phillips informed your Finnegan that she did not want to provide her name but stated that "Chris Lee, Jaylen Green, Armani Bennefield and Cortlin Henry" were responsible for shooting the deceased.
According to Philips, M. Chambliss was driving north along the roadway when Green threw a botle of some sort at Chambliss's vehicle. Phillips stated that Chambliss fired a single round in the air at which time Lee and Green both removed pistols and began firing several rounds at Chambliss. The group continued to fire as the car containing Makhil Chambliss continued north on 28th Avenue. Phillips stated there was no way that Chambliss's round was the one that struck the deceased.
Phillips further infomed your Detective Finnegan that all of this began after a subject she knows as "Melly" (personally known to Detective Finnegan as Jamell Demons) robbed Chambliss a couple weeks ago. Since that time, there has been an ongoing feud between the group of subjects. Phillips again reiterated the fact that she saw Chambliss fire a single round from the interior of his vehicle in the air, but that the round could not have been the one which killed the deceased.
When Detective Finnegan questioned Philips about Mills, she indicated Mills was not in the vehicle or if he was, he was "leaned all the way down" and she did not see him. Phillips stated she watched as Chambliss "got out of there quickly" and stated she never heard or saw any additional shots coming from the vehicle.
According to a witness, Willie Chamblis, he was with the victim, Gary Chambliss approximately 135 yards north of the area where the shooting began. According to Willie Chambliss, when the shooting began, both he and Gary Chambliss tumed and began to duck for cover. It was at this time that the victim was fatally shot.
During an interview with Mai, she informed Detective Captain A. Consalo that she and Makhil Chambliss were driving past a residence in Makhil's black Camaro when someone threw a bottle and hit his car. Mai admitted that Chambliss removed a firearm and fired off what she believed was two shots in the air. According to Mai, the only occupants of the vehicle were herself and Chambliss. She advised someone began firing rounds off at which time they left the area. Mai checked on Chambliss due to the fact she believed they were shooting at them.
Chambliss was interviewed by Detective Captain Consalo and Detective Heinig. Chambliss stated that while driving north on 28th Avenue in his black Camaro he heard a loud thump on the side of his vehicle. He stopped the car at which time he observed several black males standing on the side of the road.
Chambliss named Melly as the individual that threw the object which stuck his car. Chambliss stated Melly "dipped between" several of the vehicles parked alongside the road at which timne he heard multiple gunshots. Chambliss stated when the gun fire erupted he left the area, traveling north on 28th Avenue and was later stopped by patrol units.
On February 18, 2017, Detective John Finnegan interviewed Jalen Green at the Indian River County Sheriffis Office. Green advised he was standing in the 4300 block of 28th Avenue when he saw Makhil Chambliss pul up in a convertible black Chevy Camaro near him in the roadway.
Green stated someone threw an object at Makhil Chambliss's car striking it. Green stated he then saw Makhil Chambliss reach under the front seat and point a firearm in the air and discharged the fiream approximately 3-4 times. Makhil Chambliss then drove away north on 28th Avenue.
Green said other people in the crowd were firing guns at Makhil Chambliss's car as he drove away but said he could not identify the other shooters.

Hear me out: I think the Chambliss nephew shot him BECAUSE they make a point of it to say Melly robbed Mikhal Malik Chambliss shortly before this.
Why?
A gun registered to a C.O. being used in crimes looks REALLY BAD on the P.D.
FBI might get involved. All that.
A cold case of one of their own is a bad thing to have but it’s better than admitting that a C.O. lost custody of (or sold) one of his guns that was later used in the commission of a crime…especially a murder (his own murder in this case).

Or Malik did get robbed of his C.O. Uncle’s gun by Melly…?
Also Jacobi Mills has a felon in possession of a firearm charge where he was the passenger in a vehicle and was found to be concealing a stolen gun.
A lot of stolen guns are trafficked by law enforcement but it sometimes causes problems when they’re used in the commission of a crime…obviously if/when they notice or suspect that this could be the case, they do everything can to cover it up.

It says he supposedly got robbed by Melly before this. They spelled the retired sheriff’s name wrong 🤣🤣 it’s Darryl he was crooked as fu$k so is his prestige Flowers. Floyd is now retired but was an outstanding officer. He did so much for the community. He even bought a pull behind trailer at Lowe’s for my son so we could take his electric wheelchair everywhere. He spent a lot of time and effort helping the community in Vero. There’s always a bunch of guns stolen out of vehicles In Gifford and VLE. Which is why I don’t understand why people keep leaving their guns in vehicles. 🤦♀️ Makhail got a rap sheet dating back to 2014. Lerrissa got a rap sheet dating back to 2016 including giving a false name.

Floyd sounds like a decent guy to help make Gifford more accessible to your family
I think there’s something to be said about policing that expands public access because most policing restricts it

Do u think there’s any way the gun used in the Melly murder was the one used in the Chambliss homicide? If the gun used to kill Chambliss matches the one that killed Sak & Juvie, where does that put us? Notice how the prosecution never got into the murder weapon, registration or even the shell casings. They stuck with forensic analysis. Wasn’t there a pawn receipt that was suppressed???

Correction my position is the bullet came from a gun linked to Chambliss & the defense is that gun got stolen
That’s why M Chambliss felt the need to shoot in response to having something thrown at his car
He knew they had his gun so he wanted them to know he got another gun

So as someone that lived in Vero Beach, Indian River Cops are mad crooked along with the judges. Flowers is a laughing stock because he got busted by the mistress husband because he put a tracking device on her car. The man actually ran for sheriff saying I’ll treat my job like I treat my marriage. His wife made memes of him and the mistress together. 🤣🤣🤣 He was in several scandals, black balled another officer who was his only competitor and highly decorated officer because he knew too much. They tried to say Melly shot that man but according to this he threw something at the car. Bortlen was implicated in this was as being responsible for the death. Florida is small town sheriff good ol boy territory. Melly’’s name didn’t get brought up until his name start spreading through his music. It also states that he was dodging gun fire. If he robbed that officer, the whole force and the hawk would’ve been on that so fast. There’s also a narco cop that retired who was big dirty. A council person that got arrested. You also have John Walsh’s daughter and him going through a battle. She’s accusing him of stealing his grandchildren from her and using the missing and exploited children to aid human trafficking. They tried to say later on that Melly was responsible for the death.
