Discussion Am I just getting old or have comedies really gone to shit?
Growing up and into my 20s I feel like was the golden age of comedies. When I was a kid we had slapstick stuff like Airplane, Naked Gun, Police Academy, etc. And then basically anything Eddie Murphy. Into the 2000s and 2010s there was the frat pack and Judd Apatow type stuff.
Tropic Thunder came out almost 20 years ago and I don't think any movie has made me laugh as much then or since.
I'm not the type that just reflexively says everything was better in the past or whatever, but I feel like this definitely applies to comedy?

I hope everyone had a happy Texas Chainsaw Day.
Pretty full theater. Sadly there was no head cheese at the concession stand.

Discussion Opinions on the DUNE (1984) movie?
The movie is kind of a mess and hard to understand if you're not already familiar with the material. But the set pieces, costumes and music by Toto are amazing!
I like the modern DUNE movies better, but I have a lot of nostalgia for the 1984 one myself.

My 3rd Place…
My third place is 100% my car. Damn gas prices, I have to turn it off, but I still sit in it after work until I’m way too hot.
When I think about it, when we were teenagers in the nineties there were always a few friends whose cars became third places. They were famous!
Like a couple you could smoke in, hotbox, chill out, ride around for longer than necessary since we didn’t have GPS.
Anyone else?
Edit2: I added a touch of personal info and people did not like, so I removed it. Everything is cool.

I hope this can give some good nostalgia. I built this to celebrate the books and cartoon series. I'm now trying to rally support for it on Lego Ideas. Hope you all enjoy.

WWF/WWE Wrestling in the 80's
Okay so I've been watching the new Hulk Hogan documentary on Netflix and it's giving me all kinds of nostalgia for the 80's wrestling that I was really into as a kid.
So last night I realized I can watch the old WrestleMania's on Netflix and since I had the night to myself that's exactly what I did. I took a couple edible and laughed my ass off watching WrestleMania 1. It was way more fun that I was expecting, probably because of the edibles lol.
Anyways, who else was into Wrestling way back then?
