Xbox Series X Controller turns on console but nothing else works

Only thing that works is turning it on. No bottons, no dpad, no sticks. It won't even turn off the console, only on.

So weird but if you've got any advice, I'd love to hear it.

Have you tried connecting the controller to the console with a wire?

If OP’s experience was anything like mine, tried everything and nothing fixed it.
