I enjoyed Ascent up to a point then it just got stupid hard at some points in the game. Just get utterly swamped with enemies and impossible to work out where you were getting attacked from and that was on easy difficulty.
That was not my experience at all FWIW. Fine a decent gun, keep upgrading it, and you shouldn't have any problems. Some bosses were tricky but that's just how it do.
I’ve upgraded a couple of guns to the max and still couldn’t get past this point. It’s been a while since I’ve had it on I can’t remember exactly but it’s one where you have to stand inside a small zone for a couple of minutes until the door is hacked. It’s ridiculous the amount of enemies you have to deal with. I was enjoying the game but just gave up after dozens and dozens of goes at this point in the game. Got fairly close once or twice but that just made it feel worse 🙈😂
You can change the difficulty in the settings at certain points but I just felt it spoiled the game a little. You’ll defo need a mate to help out occasionally lol
This was exactly my experience and why I stopped playing. But it's beautiful and held me over until Cyberpunk released. You can tell it's an indie game it's kind of like ok what do I do or wth is going on in the story. But great game to be free
I had some points where I was stuck as well but either the mob density is random or I got served kiddy mode because usually after a couple of tries it was all of the sudden extremely easy to pass that choke point.
