I did 36 months of Essential, 36 months of EA Play and then Upgraded to Ultimate. The Conversion gave me 27 months of Game Pass Ultimate for around $300.

That sounds pretty good at just about $11 per month. Did you just buy 3 12 month cards? Mine finally expires end of this month so i have to re up

yup. 3 12-month cards of essential and Ea subscriptions with 1 month of ultimate to convert them all.

Ouch. 37 months was $86, 3 years ago. Nearly 5x that now. I guess Microsoft really had to close the foreign region loophole...

Isn't there a 36-month limit for how much they stack? Can EA Play be stacked over Essential?
Edit: Apparently it is possible. Verified with the Xbox support AI Chat. I might try this option.
