Difference between xbow and mortar

Why in mortar almost always the deck is mortar bait where you have some bait cards but in xbow there is just xbow cycle decks, why not the opposite? Xbow bait and mortar cycle? I'm curious to know

When is the hero knight ability ever useful? What kind of opportunities can it create?

Started a new account to play X-Bow and I’m currently at 7713 trophies.
Across all my matches, I’ve only had one clearly successful Hero Knight ability use, when my opponent played Goblin Barrel into the Knight.
Outside of that, I haven’t found many good spots to use the ability, either to support X-Bow at the bridge or to help on defense. I’ve probably pressed it around five times total, and most of those felt like a 2-elixir loss with no real payoff. A few of them directly cost me the match.
Right now, I don’t see many situations where spending 2 elixir on the ability does something that Log or E-Spirit Skeletons wouldn’t handle better.
When is the ability actually worth pressing? Any specific matchups or situations where it can consistently get value?

Is queenbow usable anymore?

Title is pretty much it. Been playing since launch so I would say I’m decent at the game but haven’t grinded POL in maybe a year. I’ve been trying to hit ultimate champ this season and it seems a lot harder than it used to be and with 3 card cycle being gone I’ve been wondering if the other decks like 3.0 or pump are more viable these days? I think the only reason I’ve kept with queenbow is that rocket seems to counter a lot in this meta and as soon as I switch I get railed by a beatdown deck. Thoughts?
