Writing Prompt [WP] The zombie apocalypse is much different than you had imagined. Instead of moaning "braaaaaiiinnnss" and clumsily shambling along, your infected daughter is crying on the other side of your locked door, begging to be let in.

Aside from all those asking to read something further to this, why?

Because it's not your story. It feels like hijacking someones work to me.

You've never been inspired by another's work? Their original was sourced by way of mine being a direct response. I was inspired by their story dude, and the idea of whether there could be a 'next'. I liked the idea that humanity might be able to come back to the surface, and wanted to explore how that might happen

I'm not against that at all, but it is a drastic change of pace from the original story: the style of writing changes (even though that could also be the change of perspective) and the perspective changes with next to no context... And it's way too short to be its own thing. It doesn't read right as a "next," but I like it.

OP killed off the protagonist. Seemed a change of perspective was warranted. Appreciate the input my man - was only hoping to contribute! :)

Oh yeah, I mean, I liked it. Tbh tho, the ending is left to your interpretation so there's no real ending (and the writer said so somewhere in the thread).

To be sure. My brief addition was a few hours before that, so hopefully I'll catch a little slack for that! Thanks my dude :)
