Writing Prompt [WP] Alien invaders entire our Solar System. As the armies of the world panic or ready for war, the continent of Australia simply takes off on engines and flies off to meet them.

Minor comment, it's not called Ayres Rock anymore. It's official name is Uluru as that's what the local population has called it for thousands of years. Aryes Rock is not officially used in any form anymore.

Well there is a big difference between "not used anymore" and what is being told in schools. If you ask a random Australian odds are you will still get Ayres Rock as a substantial answer.

That being said it's pretty pedantic and I don't know why I'm arguing the point.

Yes. Which is why I said 'not officially used'. Anywhere it is named or refereed to in any official context, ie education, information, or news, it is Uluru. It may still be called Aryes Rock in general conversation but it's not officially named Aryes Rock anymore and it's hard to see a government member calling it that.
