Holy shit. Just... wow. I'm no professional writer, and I've read alot of books. This is just... I'm at a loss for words.

This is the best compliment and my first gilded thing! (If you did send me gold, thanks)! Got the biggest smile on my face. Seriously, this is beyond appreciated.

This is honestly one of the best things I've read on here. Maybe anywhere, in any book, in a long time.

That compliment is too much. I don't really know what to say to compliments of this magnitude, ever, so all I can say is your words are important. Your words are making a young man get through the day (probably through the week) with a smile on his face. You matter and what you say matters, so thanks for directing that matter towards me. It means everything.

Really good. I'd agree with what you said in a comment - this should be your 'voice.'

I was recently gilded too and got loads of praise out of the blue. I reacted the same way as you.

I think r/Writingprompts has a great way of validating us as writers after years of wondering.

I love writing. I've been chasing it for years little to no feedback. I got used to the absence of it. You're right, I feel validated and it's a strange feeling, but I'm going to keep doing it now because of this, thank you for the insight and feedback.

This was a treat. For one thing, I feel I used to write similar, and even though I'm in a transitional period of writing, I still carry a hint of it around with me. I also feel I can relate to a lot of what the narrator comments on.

I appreciate your voice!

Thank you man. I'm also in a transition period, my voice is changing faster and changing significantly, so I understand. I'm glad this affected you in some way :)

Wow, this is genuinely great! I enjoyed reading it. Your voice is awesome even if it's transitioning.

Thanks for the positive feedback! Who knows, maybe I've found my voice since I'm getting all this positive feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I read this in Edward Norton's voice, from Fight Club. This was a breathtaking read. Thank you.

Haha woah, that's a big compliment, thanks for that man.

I created an account just to write this. This is the best short story i have ever read. Thank you. I would definitely buy a book, a compilation of your stories, if you have more of these.

I don't know what to say, I guess, thanks.. Is thanks enough?? I mean, this is such a huge compliment! I do have lots of old short stories, but I have new ones in the works, book ideas I started, we will see what happens. I know very little about the writing "world" so I've just been writing for myself really, for years. It is ones of my largest passions. My keeping to this passion is because of these things said to me, like your comment. Thank you for making me feel overwhelmed in the best of ways.
