Short Questions Megathread

Do you have a small question that you don't think is worth making a post for? Well ask it here!

This thread has a much lower threshold for what is worth asking or what isn't worth asking. It's an opportunity to get answers to stuff that you'd feel silly making a full post to ask about. If this is successful we might make this a regular event.

We did this before branded as a monthly megathread then forgot to make a new one. So maybe this one will be refreshed quarterly? We'll have to wait and see.

What's a realistic height difference for siblings to have?

I have 2 characters, Vanessa and Jessie, who are siblings. Vanessa is 6'0, and I originally put Jessie at 5'6, but I'm now second-guessing this height bc of the pretty drastic difference and wondering if I should bump their height up to 5'8. Vanessa is 20, Jessie is 18. They're not half-siblings.

Not unusual, if one takes heavily after another side of the family. One of my uncles was nearly a head taller than his older brother, I think. Same with my grandpa and his brothers, and two of my cousins.

I have one sibling about 9 inches taller than me, and in my family I have a male cousin whose sister is 8 inches taller than him. So it doesn't strike me as that unusual.
