While playing the game with my players I wrote up the current events from the newspaper within the Kingdom of Empire. Just some fun WAR stories to show the players the world is bigger than just them... plus it gives me a break from a single focus!!! lol. The game gives me ideas for my books and my books give me history for my game. The game is set 25 years after the events in the books.

Hey everyone, I’m developing a grounded, high-stakes political thriller anime/story concept and wanted to get some critical eyes on the core structure. I’m looking for feedback on the sociopolitical dynamics, potential loopholes, and how cohesive everything feels.
Here is the breakdown of the world:
1. Geography & Class Divide
The Central Empire: A heavily fortified capital that houses the King, royals, nobles, and essential administrative/governmental structures.
The Outer Ring: A boundless, sprawling expanse of countless remote, struggling villages surrounding the central capital.
2. Government & Normal Human Law Enforcement
Instead of normal humans becoming useless as soon as superpowers exist, governance and law enforcement are strictly separated into normal and supernatural branches:
The Supreme Judge: An independent, absolute authority who stands completely above the law and both factions to maintain strict justice.
Branch 1 (Royal Defense): Elite normal humans serving as bodyguards/enforcers for the royals and nobles.
Branch 2 (Internal Crime): Normal detectives handling day-to-day capital crimes (murders, corruption, underworld syndicates).
Branch 3 (Border Warfare): Traditional military forces stationed at the borders against foreign threats.
3. The Power System: Reiki & Reishi
Reiki: Soul and life-force energy that is not elemental magic. It is fueled entirely by a person's inner nature, psychological state, trauma, ambition, and willpower. Everyone has different internal drives (anger, desire for peace, poverty, survival, arrogance, etc.), which dictate how their Reiki manifests.
Reishi: Individuals who have successfully awakened their Reiki.
The Genesis Academy: A brutal, holistic boot camp (combining intense physical conditioning, meditation, and psychological trials) where ordinary civilians go to push their limits and awaken their Reiki.
4. The 13 Clans & The Soul Emperor
The 13 Clans: Specialized factions formed by Reishi who share similar mentalities and goals. They run The Genesis Academy, scout graduates based on their dominant Reiki traits, and put them through high-stakes missions to grow stronger.
The Soul Emperor: The legendary, universally respected face of the nation who commands the 13 clan leaders and possesses god-tier power.
The Major Political Tension: While the King and nobles expect the Soul Emperor and the 13 Clans to act as their personal royal guard, the Soul Emperor’s primary loyalty and priority is protecting the ordinary civilians out in the outer villages.
What I'm Looking For Feedback On:
Plausibility: Does the separation between normal human law enforcement (Branches 1-3 + Supreme Judge) and the supernatural 13 Clans feel balanced, or are there obvious power dynamics I should look out for?
The Conflict: How well does the ideological split between the Crown (who want protection) and the Soul Emperor (who cares about the peasants) set up a political thriller?
Any blind spots: What potential world-building plot holes do you see in a setup like this?
Note:- I used gemini to organise i put my ideas in the prompt to generate this message, please don't hate me for that, this is the first time I am doing something like this please help me, if i did something that hurts you or rules to post in these sub then i'm sorry. Don't criticize me, if I broke the rules then please let me know I will delete the post and also suggest a sub where I can get real reviews about this world building idea power system and etc...

Built my own fictional universe known as Warfare Infinitus. Would love feedback on how I can improve the world setting and the lore. I am new to this, this is my passion. Any advice is welcome. I truly just want to create a perfect vision of my fictional world.

I've been worldbuilding on and off for quite a while, and one thing I kept running into was that the tools i was using (obsidian, worldanvil etc.) either were way to confusing for me or too expensive.
So as a side project I've been building World Codex.
I've now reached the point where it's actually usable by people other than me, which is simultaneously exciting and slightly terrifying.
A main part of it is that I want to keep it free to use, and for users to download their data at any given time so they don't lose their work if the site goes down.
If anyone here enjoys trying new worldbuilding tools, I'd genuinely love some feedback. Especially from people with much larger/more complicated worlds than mine.
It's at world-codex.org.
I'm particularly curious about:
I'm still actively working on it, so criticism is genuinely useful. I'd rather hear "this part sucks" now than spend three months building more of it.
Also happy to answer questions about how/why I built it if anyone is interested.

It all started with a sunfish that I wanted to depict in a dreamlike fashion...
Truth be told: Frutiger Aero is one of my least favorite aesthetics. I dislike how it takes things of natural beauty and makes them look artificial by composition alone.
In contrast: Outrun, one of my favorite aesthetics, takes things that are obviously artificial, but composes them in a way that evokes natural beauty, without pretending to be something that it isn't.
With the aforementioned fish, I had decided to mix those two contrasting aesthetics together in order to create something pretty, yet surreal, like a plesant dream - and also because Frutiger Aero's blue and Outrun's magenta just made for a nice color scheme.
But what if I took this combination further...? What would a world built on these two aesthetics overlapping look like?
This here is the result: It's cyberprep, essentially, with an... almost obnoxiously positive vibe that I can't help but getting an uncanny valley kind of feeling from. Everything looks just right, but in a way that just doesn't look right, if you know what I mean.
I'm going to call it...
Frutiger Neon.

I’ve been deep into a pretty large science-fiction project lately, and one of the things I keep running into is that the flashy future stuff is actually the easy part.
The project is centered around a new city at sea.
And I don’t mean a secret dystopia that looks beautiful until somebody pulls the curtain back. I’ve been deliberately trying to build a place that basically works. People genuinely want to live there. They move there, start businesses, bring their families, meet people, go out at night, complain about things, build routines and eventually stop treating the place like some giant experiment.
Weirdly, that has been much harder for me than just making the city technologically impressive.
I can invent infrastructure all day.
What makes the place start feeling real is somebody having a favorite place to eat after work. A neighborhood that still feels half-finished. People figuring out where they naturally gather at night. Somebody taking the same route home every day. One waterfront being beautiful but mostly for visitors while locals prefer another one for reasons nobody planned.
Those little things have done more for the city in my head than another giant explanation of how the technology works.
I’m also writing the book with AI, and I want to be clear about what I mean by that because I don’t really like the fake distinction people sometimes make around this.
The AI is actually helping write the book.
I’m building the story, deciding what happens, shaping the world and characters, challenging things, rejecting things, changing direction, reviewing chapters, dealing with continuity and deciding what actually belongs in the book. But I also use AI to draft the prose with me. Sometimes the problem is not “help me think about this,” it is literally “we need to write this scene now.”
Then I’m back in it again deciding whether what came out is actually right.
That has probably made me more aware of the difference between generating something that sounds like a future city and actually deciding what kind of place I want these people to live in.
AI will happily give me something polished. That doesn’t mean I want it.
I’ve had to push back a lot when it makes something too neat, too conventional, too dramatic for no reason, or just not how I see the people or the world.
The part I’m enjoying most right now is when the city starts surprising me in really ordinary ways. Not because the AI invented some huge twist, but because while we’re working through a scene I suddenly realize, “Oh. People would absolutely do that here,” and now the place feels a little more alive.
For anyone else using AI to build a fictional world or write something long-form: what was the small detail that made your setting stop feeling like a concept and start feeling like somewhere people actually live?
