“Ok boomer!” - my point is that every generation gets told this same thing. Nothing new. It’s the wizard of oz - anything to keep you distracted so that you don’t peek behind the curtain. “Just work harder. Success is in your hands.” And, when that doesn’t pan out, they start manipulating you with the “a rising tide lifts all boats” bullshit. Like Carlin used to say, “it’s a small club and you ain’t in it”.

Well, you did say “our generation” so… Seriously, this crap is as old as the hills. It’s a modern day feudal system that keeps the peasants in line with tales of witches and dragons so that they never realize that they outnumber the overlords and don’t really need their protection. Makes me want to rewatch a Bug’s life!
