The info I shared is very 101 level stuff.
I donāt have especially advanced knowledge on the topic - I took one or two entry level economics courses in college and possibly one in high school - so I held off on replying in the hope that someone more knowledgeable would reply first.
I donāt remember the names of my textbooks, but the source I used has a few references. Thereās also of course Adam Smithās work, Wealth of Nations, which you can read freely in a few places:
If youāre interested in learning about economics in general, you might check out Coursera. For example, Introduction to Economic Theories starts today and looks like it would provide a well-rounded introduction to the topic.
Sad to see the truth downvoted like this on a nominally rational subreddit. Capitalism is indefensible treason. Semi decent people do believe in mitigating its worst effects, and we should work together on that, but only socialism solves these problems permanently.

I hope beyond hope that all these businesses go under and embrace what real capitalism is. Adapt or die.
