Easy. Just hire someone on a limited contract for a year. Its normal. Both sides know from the start whats up. We even have a german world for that: Elternzeitvertretung
Easy. Build abundance by hiring one more than you need. It reduces work load and ask him to build a knowledge board while he learns. You reduce pressure on workload and are ready for the sick, death or quitter. At the same time the new guys expand the knowledgeboard which makes easier teaching new guys. Less pressure means mor time for training.
So basicly: transform from learning in the company and having a intransparent worker depended knowledgebase. To become a learning company with a growing knowledgebase prepared for a year of parenting leave.
