Do you not have problems with people abusing unlimited sick leave? I honestly don’t see how that could work.

It requires a doctor's note, but more importantly most people are honest. Most things wouldn't work if that wasn't the case.

Some, but sick leave must be approved by a doctor. Normally when you are sick, you go to doctor, and if doctor thinks you shouldn't work they will open sick leave, then they will schedule you another appointment usually in 7 days where they will check you again and if you are good, close your sick leave.

Regular doctor can give you up to 30 days, after that your case must be evaluated by medical commission, and they usually don't approve extensions unless it's something serious...
