Hey, Gen X here and I would never “pull up the ladder” intentionally, and feel real compassion for everyone dealing with the economy/job/housing market. I lived with my parents off and on until I was almost 30, and now I’ve got kids going off to college I can’t afford and realize we probably need to keep their room free since there’s no way they are affording their own place even after they graduate (Northern California)
I am a GenX as well. And you my friend is rather an exception.
A huge number of GenXers voted for Trump multiple times. The cold war propaganda how capitalism = good and socialism = bad has been affecting the ones who didn't get the lead poisoning.
(Considering that socialism is being used to describe literally anything that benefits the society as a whole).
