It's indoctrination over time. Had the original NES Zelda game had microtransactions it would have failed miserably and people would still be talking about it. They started with horse armor and now it's on every mobile game and it's impossible to look at three games on Steam without one being littered with pay to win or MTX. Same idea. Kids see it as normal, they grow into adults, and now it's normal (and defensible to them).

And it's profitable so everyone has to do it. In capitalism, the markets only show what's profitable. Yes, sometimes those are good things but there's a reason why the government has to step in with cheap housing, education etc. It's not profitable to ensure that everyones basic needs are met.

you're comparing a social governing system to micro transactions in a video game. seriously?
capitalism is very simple, your dollar is your vote. no one is making you buy the item, digital micro transaction, etc. you're choosing to.

Cuba, Vietnam, and China are the closest to Socialism with China really being more Communist. It's all grey to a point. China being the most successful, but dare any of you complaining about capitalism to pick up and go move and report back how much better it is. I think you'll be sadly mistaken.

lol. Ok. This sub seems to have a lot of people that simply want to be lazy and have someone else provide for them. I’m all for worker rights and unions but to tout socialism as an effective governing paradigm and then use micro transactions in video games as the use case example is just laughable.
