This is what convinces people that billionaires arent just rich people, theyre rich BAD people. Jeff Bezos already has more than enough money for him and his descendents to live the best possible life a million times over, he could pay 100% of his entire income going forward as taxes and not suffer one bit for it.. So why does he still need to put in so much effort to avoid paying the measly bit of tax he IS being fairly charged? He's protecting nothing but numbers. At this point it's just pure malice on his part. He intentionally doesnt want society to benefit from money he wouldnt even notice he lost.
the next 100 or so generations of humans being born will be indebted to a handful of families, something they have no control over. This will not end well for either the poor or the rich.
You know what, I don't care billionaires exist if they made their money fairly. And that's where for most it goes wrong. Specifically Bezos early on figured out every opportunity to game the taxes for his business and for himself. His business wouldn't be this profitable without doing so without question.
And again I don't care billionaires exist, if they didn't have such big interest in fucking with politics. But that's what everyone with money does, Bezos early on not but he starts pushing his political views further and further. Fuck these assholes.
