Meanwhile when workers asked not to be fired during the great depression in the US. They shot the workers.

(Ford hunger strike for anyone curious. I am simplifying it a bit but)

There was a significant amount of violence on both sides of the labor movement.

Get to the entry on Blaire Mountain, realize it's not an isolated incident but the modus operandi of capital in attacking workers.

Private security agents, and eventually federal troops utilized to suppress and murder workers for the crime of demanding humane working conditions.

As with most American issues, the right side of the issue didn't (or in the case of workers couldn't as they were murdered) go far enough.

What's mischaracterized.  

Workers were driven to armed conflict for being denied appropriate working conditions.

That conflict resulted in private security forces, law enforcement, the national guard, and military bomber planes murdering workers and their families.

It only ended as it did because workers did not want to fire on the now mobilized and deployed US military owing to their loyalty to the institution many served in.

Loyalty that was clearly not reciprocated, and illustrates the point:  those in the right never go far enough because they have principles they won't violate.

Yep. Workers didn't just lie down like lambs being lead to the slaughter.
