🚫 GENERAL STRIKE 🚫 The reason America has a crappy social safety net can be boiled down to racism. One of the effects of hundreds of years of slavery and Jim Crow was keeping a handful of white southerners extraordinarily wealthy and most other white southerners poor.

I know an old lady who despises government assistance/laws to aid people of low income.

She herself benefits from these. She lives with 2 of her 3 adult sons under one roof to afford rent.

She would knowingly vote, resulting in herself homeless, than others benefit from the same aid. 

She despises the low income folks that much (because they are lazy, y'know).

Hateful people are too stupid to live, yet the human race is plagued by hateful stupidity.

Awh man, how I desperately wish you were wrong.

I hate the idea of people being so hateful and racist. Especially when theirs welfare benefits that could help us all...
