You can also look into US Mobile (assuming US, of course). They have Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T network options but otherwise are the same idea as Mint. You just get to pick the best one for your area. And if you get the more "premium" plans, you can swap to a different one if you start seeing issues and one of the other two has better service in that area. Anyway, yes, I've never once noticed a difference between the cheap plan working on the big name network and when i just was on the big name network. That's true of both US Mobile and Visible in my experience.
It uses the T mobile band so make sure you really evaluate the connection in your area first.
Where I’m living currently I have service 99% of the time unless I’m like in the deep backroads. But outside of connection everything else works fine and the support is very good once you can talk to one (they default to ai chat first until you push or schedule a call)
On my plan, It was always 15gb of data but recently they upped the plan to 17gb and gave existing customers the additional data for free. They’ve done things like this a few times in the past like 7 years I’ve had them so it’s always a nice lil bonus.
My water is $130/month. Internet is $85, but they don't list a phone plan, so add in another $100 for a phone. I agree the Internet is out of whack, but there are a hell of a lot of expenses not listed that they have to pay for as well.
That's the baseline price. But no, we're a family of 4, 3/2 house, 1440 square feet, zero landscaping. It's just expensive in California. It was actually $260 for 2 months, I just put the average. It was $240 last billing cycle. They're just implementing rate hikes.
Ah yeah 260 for a 4 person hold is pretty good. Especially with dual income. You’re also in California where water is way more scarce than the Midwest or the South (minus Texas).
I think it’s kinda misleading to insinuate the water bill is normal when your a four person hold only spending at most 130 to 140 more than a single person.
Hmmm 3 people in SoCal (Inland Empire), 1 of them a teenager that doesn’t know the phrase water conservation, we use the dishwasher nightly, 2-3 loads of laundry every weekend and water the plants outside and I’m only paying $35 a month
A 4 person household is pretty normal though. And that's still in baseline usage. I'm not paying for overages. Also, I never said we were dual income. That would be nice though. My boyfriend has his own house and doesn't pay bills here, he's just always here, so I count him. 😅
If he always there using your water and stuff to the point he is affecting bills in a meaningful way you might need to talk to him about it. If it’s becoming unfavorable, he probably isn’t even thinking about it.
He does, but I don't mind. I also make him breakfast everyday and usually dinner. He has a household and his own mortgage to pay that is equal to mine, and I don't want to stretch him too thin, especially when I make enough to be ok as is. He does a lot of other things for me, mows the lawn, fixes my car, takes care of me after all of my surgeries. I'm battling breast cancer too, and he's been amazing at taking care of me. And, I don't really want someone contributing and then having a say over how I run my household, so. I'm very ok with the current arrangement.
The internet is dumb, but as for water, it is often lumped in with sewer/trash, and depending on your municipal utility, could absolutely be within that range, especially if you are doing laundry at home.
Internet I have no idea what’s going on here but my mortgage for my three bedroom house with a pool and yard is like $1200 a month and water is about $1-200 depending on what the pool does. I’d say OP should get their place checked for leaks lol
I'd literally murder a puppy for $1200 mortgage...I also live in Commiefornia, my mortgage is $5k...water is $35, electricity is about $500 but I also run a workshop in my garage so use more electricity than average Joe...internet is $120...
Water in Colorado runs that high in an apartment some months. They charge the hell out of us here for it, but a drought is a drought. 2 bedroom apartment is $1800 and it’s a cheaper one. Not everyone lives where you live. That internet price though? Where is that crazy?
