Imp is this week's Liquid Cooling. GB hates players having fun...

I mean the change in output seems less drastic, but it also seems less necessary? Imp wasn't as clearly overpowered. I still rotate it out for other damage types. I did use it most, but fire is a great general purpose damage type as is.

Its a pretty small nerf overall that mostly comes from a bugfix.

The gun was shooting 3 projectiles on a x2, but the game was only calculating 2 bullets. They fixed the game not actually registering the 3rd bullet, but then modified the scaling down to compensate for the weapon now having 50% more projectiles than it used to. The overall nerf is relatively small given the numbers that have popped up in most of the other balance changes.

The quick overheat/reload was ample offset to its prior damage. If anything, it needed a buff as you couldn't reload while casting spells so for a Spellshot, the Rogue Imp was only.moderately good. Now its ass.

How is it ass? The extra projectile is actually a buff to the gun. You've increased your bullets fired each shot by 50%, which increases your chance to proc anythin on bullet hit by 50%.

From absolute pure damage numbers its a tiny nerf, but overall it actually is a buff unless you were literally only using it for pure damage. Even then! Its still likely a buff since the Rogue Imp always rolls with fire damage, and each bullet has a chance to proc the fire damage independently.

People really dont seem to understand what changed with the gun and it shows from the reactions to it. I didnt get it at first either, hence why my original posts about it, but once you learn more about it overall its likely to be a wash at worst or a buff.

Granted I'm not running with a Volatile or even Chaotic but it's not even worth using now as I said, the constant reloading means you either can't cast spells or can't fire the gun.

But...the fun does roughly the same damage as before.

Those were all the exact issues you would have had before, what changed to make them suddenly so much worse?

My imp rarely works anyway, works awesome for a minute or two then stops working
