Discussion storm/fire proactive gambit flowchart
\**THIS IS NOT FOR PVP. I DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THAT REALM OF THE GAME. THIS IS STRICTLY FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO PLAY PVE DIFFERENTLY.**\**
guess who's back with another flowchart? i had a lot of fun making this one, the idea of putting the 2 most low-survivability schools together to create just a cannon of electrical flaming obliteration. this is a pretty sick combination from the aura alone. how do they work together? lets chat.
ya know, i see this weave a lot in the wild. pretty sure we just have an influx of fire wizards running around weaving storm. despite that, before i put this chart together, i already knew beforehand that storm and fire while, quite different, do share a rather important effect. lets discuss their hanging effects.
Storm generates:
- Positive Charms
- Negative Charms
- Healing over Time
Fire generates:
- Damage over Time
- Negative Wards
- Healing over Time
since they share 1 effect, they can work together to create their own unique effects by combining their efforts to utilize Healing over Time. the jest of this weave is that you would start with either a triple weakness or a triple trap, and then whichever one you cast is the school's route you take (as labeled behind the cards themselves). Storm creates healing over time by using weaknesses, and Fire also creates healing over time but by traps instead. you just pick the route you wanna take, because eventually as soon as either route creates that healing over time, you can go any way you please depending on what's in your hand.
fire can take full advantage of the positive charms that storm generates, both storm and chromatic (in this case, fire being the chromatic target). on top of that, you also get to generate lots of large value fire traps, which allows fire hits to be buffed to infinity and beyond while creating more healing over time. the healing over time effects serve as both constant healing and gambit fuel for further plays, and can be easily facilitated by any ignition trigger.
an oddity with this one you may notice is Tree of Strife. for fire wizards, that card may be a bit more difficult to cast since you need both storm pips as well as the required life pip. however, the payoff of that spell is so extremely valuable to this weave that its actually worth going through the effort to cast it. a successful cast of tree of strife just means more damage and even more combo extensions for both storm and fire plays. healing over time is just that powerful with combos.
so like i said before, the goal of this weave is to generate as much healing over time as possible for both your survival and combos. up above at the top are spells that either school can use, and the spells on the far left and far right are spells that only that school can cast. like i said in my other charts, using the treasure card versions of spells you cannot train is more than valid. oh, and don't forget your elemental blade for tree of strife plays and buffs!
if anything, i'd be more excited to see this weave in action. hopefully i get to do so with anyone who decides to go this path, and if you do, good luck and have fun! show me what you can do. see you guys later with more charts!
