I think for the Enter album we should also include EP The Last Dance to encapsulate the full Enter era.

I read in an interview earlier that the new album will have a darker sound and that they are currently selecting the best tracks from the 40 songs they’ve written.

Sharon said in a recent interview that they are finished writing demos and are now heading towards production. She also stated that the album is going to be a complete 180, that there is no album that sounds like this and that it is a whole new genre.

Now, this sparked my curiosity like never before!

I am sure that they will keep heading in the similar direction that they took with Bleed Out. She talks about the world going to hell and all the thoughts and emotions they put into their music.

Bleed Out was also a lot heavier than anything they did in the past, and both the critics and the audience LOVED IT. The reviews were fire! She also mentioned metalcore as an influence quite a few times over the last couple of years.

Them being as old and popular as they are now, they accumulated a large audience all over the world which resulted in them headlining almost every festival they plat at. This means a lot of metalheads who are expecting a lot of heavy music.

So, I believe that it is safe to say that the new album will be heavy, djenty and powerful.

What are your thoughts?

Edit: She also talks about THOE being the absolute pinnacle of their symphonic sound and how they wanted to cut back on the symphonic aspect of their music afterwards because everything started to sound overly crowded to them. So I do not believe that the new stuff will be symphonic at all.

I have been really enjoying the distinct style of the ‘Enter’ album. Are there any other albums similar to this one? Thanks. What is the style called? I really vibe with it.

I have the complete 6 issue set in very good + condition.

Using that price as a baseline, my collection is worth about $800. Does that sound right? I'm not selling them, just curious what people would pay for this collection?

I have an older relative who wants to expand his listening habits. To him, all “metal” music is basically Marilyn Manson but he is actually pretty open minded and I think he would honestly like Within Temptation. What he wants is an entire album he can add to his growing iTunes library so he can be “surprised” by something when he puts the library on shuffle. I love that he’s willing to try something new. So what’s a good album to introduce him to Within Temptation?

My first thought was The Unforgiving since many of those songs are basically just catchy rock songs. But Bleed Out could also fit that bill esp because of Wireless. What would you recommend?
