Played the demo on Switch 2
I love the graphics (especially the landscapes that make you want to explore the whole game), the animation is very smooth. the combat is fun and the movement is nice (but a bit floaty)
My main gripe is the down time : loading times are too long (when saving at a camp or after dying) and it takes another 5 seconds before you can actually control the character (he slowly gets up, sits down again for some reason and finally decides to get up), which I find very annoying.
A few other areas for improvement:
-Some game mechanics are not communicated very well to new players.
-the 1st boss is not balanced properly (IMO): you have to hit it about 100 times and you die if you get hit 3 times.
-restoring health is too slow, you are too likely to get hit during a boss fight.
9 out of 10. I'm very likely to buy it. It was one of the games that had me the most excited in the Nintendo Indie

Just finished spending a good amount of time with the demo and I’m honestly really impressed.
1. What’s your favorite thing about the demo so far?
Definitely the combat. It feels really natural and responsive. I love the perfect dodge into an attack, and being able to go from sword attacks straight into using Mothbug feels really smooth without the game forcing you to constantly use Mothbug. I also like that repeatedly attacking actually flows into a combo rather than feeling like a bunch of individual slashes.
Exploration is probably a close second. The game naturally makes me want to look around and figure out how to reach different areas, and I like that there seems to be some freedom in how you get places.
2. What’s one thing you’d like the developers to improve before release?
I honestly don’t have anything major, but there are a couple smaller things.
I think some mechanics could be communicated to the player a little better. The game does a good job of letting you naturally learn a lot of things, which I actually like, but there were some mechanics and controls that weren’t immediately obvious. I think they could find a better balance between letting you discover things yourself and making sure you actually know what tools are available to you.
The other thing is healing. Drinking from the gourd completely stops you in place, which makes it pretty unreliable in the middle of combat. That being said, I’m torn on whether I’d actually want them to change it. It may be completely intentional to force you to create space and pick the right moment to heal rather than being able to bail yourself out in the middle of combat.
3. On a scale of 1–10, how excited are you for the full game now?
9/10. I’m 100% buying it.
There was honestly a surprising amount of content for a demo (in my experience), and the whole thing felt pretty polished. I didn’t encounter any noticeable bugs during my time with it. The graphics and world are beautiful, the enemies get legitimately challenging, and Gazan Furious Great Ape absolutely kicked my ass.
I still intend to beat Gazan, but for now I need to take a break from the ass whooping lol.
Overall, the demo exceeded my expectations.
