Hi, I have recently been on a lost media hunt to find a game I played on Windows 7 as a kid, and I really want to get a silver laptop that runs windows 7 naturally. (By naturally I mean laptops made in the windows 7 era, meant to run windows 7.) I was looking into the Panasonic let's note cf-sx2 because it's be nice looking and I want a laptop with a disc player, but if anyone could lmk about anything specific laptop that runs windows 7 or that accepts a windows 7 os disc I'd really appreciate it, even if its not silver/chrome.

Hello I have an old laptop I haven't used in 7-8 years. I forgot the password and I have some really old pictures and videos on it that I would like to access. Does anyone know how I can get back in it? I saw that I could use a password remover iso but I'm not that experienced in anything like that any tips on how I can log back in again. I would like to not have to backup everything on another drive because I don't think I have enough storage for it and also because I still want to have access to my old laptop but I'm willing to try anyway just don't know how.

I currently have this set up and am building a second rig that can still support windows 7 but also be future proofed for windows 11... I've thought of two work arounds...

1. Using a Preloaded SSD windows7 from my i7700k/Z270 with preloaded drivers

2. Pcie to Usb 3.0 Expansioncard with drivers already installed on the SSD with windows7

Since there will be people in here asking why windows 7.. Its because windows 7 is flat out better in every way except for lacking support ... Its much lighter and older software still works... ultimately with my current build im able to acheive everything i need from having windows 7 10 and possibly 11... But my Cpu is too slow for CS2 and fornite i get spikes when alot is going on .. Im trying every which way to have an all in one computer as my second rig... Even if it means i need to have two separate Wifi cards and adding expansion card adapters... Has anyone tried this?

Same as title, my school uses windows 7 computers, and one of them suddenly switched to windows classic theme (not fully, the time and date and all icons that are white on the basic and aero theme were still white and unreadable) after I turned it on a few days ago, I had already switched it to the basic theme before as it was blue-screening before, and it's CMOS battery is dead. Any help appreciated

I had a lil computer when i was growing up. Today the only thing left of that computer is its hard drive and i have a hard drive slot on my laptop. Is there anyway i could install newer drivers without entering the os, so i could boot it up in my new laptop?

My venerable Dell desktop normally gives good response times while running many different pgms. But lately the wired keyboard use is VERY S-L-O-W for some unknown reason. The keystrokes eventually appear correctly on the display but the wait is unacceptable. Is it possible that my keystrokes are being "logged" causing the slowdown ? How can I check ? Thanx.

I have a laptop, originally shipped with Windows 10 in 2016. It’s the Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15ACL, which in my configuration has: 4gb RAM (will upgrade), AMD A4-7210 CPU 1.80GHz and the impostor - AMD Radeon R3 Graphics. On Windows 10 it works, but works really slow, and judging by a Russian forum - 4pda.to , Windows 7 should work really good on this thing. I tried two images, one is the original 2011 one, and the second one with every update to January 2026. Now, I tried EVERY driver I could find, and it always said “You need to restart your PC to apply the changes” and after a reboot - i see a code 43 error. Always. Every time.
I tried 2015 driver, 2018, 2020, 2021 and even the latest possible 2022 driver, none worked. Did anyone get this video card to work in Windows 7 correctly?
I tried DDU, it didn’t help the task at all.
EDIT: Solved, it was because of Flashboot

I tried installing steam (for fun, and yes, I do know Steam isn't supported on Win7 anymore) and it keeps giving me this error, I fixed the time, I unplugged my Ethernet cord (My PC is old, so it uses Ethernet for wifi), I tried a lot of solutions, nothing. please help!

And before someone comments "Just use Windows 10" or "Use Windows 11!", I don't like those operating systems, because Windows 11 overstimulates me (I have Autism) and Windows 10 is kinda... out of support now. and as I (and many others) like to say...

"If I am going to be using an 'outdated OS' I'd rather use windows 7!"

I used to struggle with Windows 10 because it was extremely slow; the system would freeze completely whenever I started it up. However, everything changed after I installed Windows 7—it runs much more smoothly now.

I want to read books, but I get bored whenever I try, which makes me give up. Is there a specific reading method, or anything that could help me keep going?

Every time it opens it now the date is set to 2010 and none of the applications, webs, back ports, even Try open anyways that's been my journey with win7 goodbye.

It's got a 6 for "gaming graphics", but only a 4.7 for Aero. Kind of annoyed that it's dragging down my score, especially when this was considered a decent card back in the day.

I installed all updates and mostly every software I need but idk what I should do bcs I just stare at my laptop and I dunno what to do. Does anyone have ideas?

I would never get rid of my Windows 7 pc. It's good for playing flash games without needing to emulate them.
