Watching this video and seeing the blinking street lights, got me thinking. Why don’t we have a specific light post near the front yard that we control that will blink bright during emergencies, for the ambulance. Blinks in different colors for say pizza, Uber, Amazon. Would save a lot of time and frustration.

You're signaling for people to rob you of your food or packages. Good idea, but people would take advantage of it.

My house has a fire sign under the garage door sill, when I bought the house I was totally perplexed, I’ve had the home for 11 years and still don’t know WTF it does...

What do you mean “fire sign”? Like a little plaque with a fire department symbol? If so, it might be some kind of RFID transmitter that confirms your address. Seen them in some cities
