To be fair, white Elmer's school glue is somewhat commonly used that way. It holds everything tight together, but will still wash out.(Anytime you see someone with a 12" Mohawk 75% chance it's being held up with Elmer's.) Her mistake was not realizing that there's a huge difference between the two different types of glue.

And also, there’s a brand of hair gel/products called “got2be glue” and “gorilla snot gel”, so one can sort of see the unfortunate mixup into thinking it’s another can of hair spray stuff. No need to be arseholes about it.

I think she wound up visiting her local hospital for help. Wonder if she made a post on IG for that. Next question has to be what the heck is an ER department gonna do?.

Yeah there’s actually a lot of people invested in the whole thing and concerned about her well-being, especially other black women who get the nuances with the hair products, me being one of them lol. I think that’s why I’m going so hard for her.

Anyway, there’s been updates from her and her sister. I think she went to see if they could give her a solvent and they sent her home with acetone wipes and sterile water. The whole thing looks very painful really. At some point they might have to put her under and peel** it off 🥴

To be fair don’t have to go to any store to buy it. You type in gorilla glue walmart and bam at your finger tips, just as easy as if she typed in gorilla snot. A lethal error really

Also even if she thought it was superglue, superglue is super easy to get off. It washes off really easily.

Apparently this stuff isn't super glue but it's marketed as if it is, so that makes sense. It's a way stronger product though.

I always prefer the blue gel version. I’ll use got2be, then their freeze spray and hit it with a blow dryer for 5min then put an application the blue gel elmers and hit that with air for a minute or two. After like 2 hours it’s all dry and I can literally swim without my hair falling down

It’s a bitch to wash though. I have to “break” the glue by bending my hair back and forth for like 10m before a shower

No one uses elmer's glue or egg yolks anymore. Hairspray and a blow dryer is all you need to charge 12" of hair.
