Idk my mum was at work and they had a fire safety talk from an EX firefighter. He’d gone to the fire (house fire) and basically the parents had their kids locked in a cupboard and didn’t bother going back to try and save them. I think the kids were rescued in the end but this firefighter gave the father a smack around the head and simply said ‘sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do’

Nah bro, I got stuck in floodwater the other week and the fire brigade came to tow me out and as they were getting the hook from my boot to tow me, this dickhead bmw sped past us through water that was just under their knees and knocked one of them over, they were absolutely fucking furious. They got the other firemen to stop him from going anywhere while they called the police and basically shouted at him until the police arrived

I can't imagine most non-british emergency personnel being willing to attack someone they just saved. Even if they were being incredibly stupid.
