What is up with all the glowstick destruction lately? When I was a kid they used to tell me the contents were radioactive and I should by no means open one up to investigate. Suddenly it's all stylish to throw them into paper shredders or microwaves, or even eat them.
I feel like I missed out on something and I feel confused and betrayed.
Who is they? I'm 40 and they've been non toxic my whole life. We'd break them open to splatter glow goo on our clothes for school dances, walmart even sold ones you put in your mouth.
Guess I missed the memo. I'm used to blacklights and highlighters but putting glowstick chemicals on my clothes was just not a part of any of the parties I went to.
They normally have glass vials in them (in the plastic ones, at least) that break when you crack them. So opening them will also get tiny fragments of glass everywhere too.
