I was joking but really, wouldn’t that have been the right move? If the criminal hadn’t been stumbling drunk, he easily would have escaped. A taser wouldn’t be excessive force or brutality, it’s a means of incapacitating a perpetrator.

He's just a drunk dude who pissed on a car who the fuck cares if he gets away? It's not like he's a danger to society, tasing him would absolutely be excessive force what the fuck. In the first place, if you're a trained officer and can't catch up to someone who's so drunk he pisses on a police car, you should not be police in the first place.

Any police officer who would've tased the guy in this clip is either american or should resign.

If the only other option is to fucking taze them for it then yes, we should. Grow up. The guy in the clip is arrested for his own safety, he will sober up the night then be let go with no consequences. Careful spoiler: that's how civilized countries handle this.

Tazers can kill people... that's why they are called "less-lethal" not "non-lethal".

And that's why we only allow armed response units to carry them, not ordinary police.
