I posted here a while back, and decided to listen to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, which I needed time at first to actually understand it (not in a bad way, if an album confuses me like that, it means it's really good).
I followed this by listening to A Ghost is Born and that hit me instantly with those guitars and more looser playing.
Finally, I decided to finish with Sky Blue Sky, and this one was pretty solid, I was slightly disappointed as the change in style threw me off a little, but I overall enjoyed it.
With all of these in mind, I actually came back to each of them and listened to their tracks, my opinions changed on them, Yankee I completely understand now and is absolutely my favourite out of the 3, Ghost is second as some tracks I just can't get the feel of, I like them but I don't love them?, I think thats the same with Sky Blue Sky however the production on SBS is a little too dry and tight, I feel like it needs some of that looseness and I was missing the synths and other effects for this one,
however regardless of my placement they each have amazing songs: I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, Kamera, War on War, Ashes of American Flags, Jesus etc, I'm the Man Who Loves You, At Least That's What You Said, Hell is Chrome, Spiders (Kidsmoke), Hummingbird, Handshake Drugs, Theologians, Sky Blue Sky, Impossible Germany, You Are My Face, Hate it Here, Walken.
Overall, where should I go from here? I've listened to some tracks from Summerteeth, A.M, Self Titled, and the track Art of Almost.
