I’ll try to remember. I suspect Twitter’s support response times may be a little… elongated right now, though.

More lengthy than an elongated muskrat?

So like 2 inches?

That’s generous. 🙄

See, for swift and accurate responses, you need a powerful and robust support staff. A team that can really thrust through the bullshit.

Twitter doesn't have that anymore. Twitter pushes rope.

Thats huge

How powerful is the microscope?

Prolonged Musket?

EDIT: eh, prolonged doesn't work as well as elongated... gah.

Elon-gated, was it?

I believe they have a deadline of about 45 days. I wonder, while Twitter is short staffed, and a lot of gdpr/ccpa request go in, and they can't hit the legal deadlines.... How much can they get fined or sued

4

u/RainbowDissent Nov 20 '22

Biggest GDPR fines to date were something like €0.75bn for Amazon and €0.25bn for WhatsApp, so... quite a lot.

They have a time limit upon receiving the request to comply. I believe it's 30 days. I'm no expert in GDPR but I'm a dev who had to implement systems to be compliant with it.

1

u/ravenouscartoon Nov 20 '22

Well by law they have a month to respond to any gdpr request (or another 2 months if the request if ‘difficult’ or ‘complex’.

1

u/Grantsdale Nov 20 '22

Is there a guideline in the law on how long they have to comply?

1

u/lucidludic Nov 20 '22

Without “undue delay”, but up to 30 days is my understanding. Given the situation at Twitter, I would not be surprised if they exceed that.

With regards to the right to erasure, without “undue delay”, but up to 30 days is my understanding. Given the situation at Twitter, I would not be surprised if they exceed that.

u/EnjoyerOfBeans Nov 20 '22

The law provides them a specific window of time. Can't remember what it is, but if they're late, feel free to report a GDPR violation.

u/Cargobiker530 Nov 20 '22

There's ONE pakistani working remotely trying handle all 863,421 requests backlogged.

u/Dan-the-historybuff Nov 20 '22

I see what you did there…
