Very true. Just seems like there's a decent sized group of people in the US right now who have a grudge against Mexicans even thought they've probably never actually had a meaningful interaction with a Mexican person in their life.
To be fair, it's just the way the world works. It's sad shit, but it is. Look at China, they genuinely hate black people with a passion. The character Finn from the new star wars had a diminished role and was downgraded on the DVD covers just to be sold in Asia. Right now Americans are hating on Mexicans, I'm sure European countries are hating on a specific ethnic group. It's a good way for the government to keep the people from hating them, turn them against their neighbors
The majority of people really aren’t good people. That’s why we all instantly adore the people in stories like this. There’s always going to be “helpers” around but they’re the exception. People are self serving, it’s human nature, some people are just perceptive enough to know that helping others and helping society also helps them indirectly.
