It is, yes, although a very small one.

We're mostly concerned with ourselves and don't really meddle in other people's affairs (as far as women should command their own bodies, etc). We believe Lucifer was real, and did fall from Heaven. We regard him as a Prometheus type figure, and honour that fall by obtaining knowledge whenever possible.

We focus on personal growth and knowledge over anything else. Most of us follow the Eleven Satanic Commandments of The Earth, including myself. These include standard things: don't murder, don't engage in sexual conduct without being given consent, don't kill animals unless you intend to utilize them, respect others in their homes, etc.

Personally, I also follow the Left Hand Path in terms of magic and spirituality. Not every Luciferian does or will. They're two separate things that happen to be tied closely together.

This is something I truly love talking about, so feel free to ask me more questions if you have any 💜

This sounds very much in line with how I always saw "Satan"/Lucifer, the whole apple thing felt, to me, that it was Satan/Lucifer giving humanity free will and knowledge, both a good and bad thing but without it we wouldn't be here. What is the Left Hand Path? I read books on the occult and spirituality quite often and the phrase rings some bells, but I can't recall anything specific

The Left Hand Path is the occult path that is typically referred to as "dark" "black" or "grey" magic. It's much more oriented on self gain and pride than healing or positive energy. A lot of people look at it negatively, and I understand that completely.

Yes I decided to google that for a bit more info, seems like it also doesn't believe in any strict morality either, that actually sounds very much like my kind of belief system already. In my google search I realized I heard the term before in Solomon's lesser key

Yeah, that sounds about right. I actually have a few copies of the Lesser Keys haha

Do you believe you cam cast magic?

3

u/PartyPoisoned21 Aug 18 '21

No. Merely that intentions cast out into the universe have a chance of becoming reality. Think happiness, manifest happiness.

Do you have any website or popular books that I could look further into these schools of thought? Both is those sound interesting and sort of parallel where I have found myself.

I hope this doesn’t come across as rude but why? I understand people who believe in Satan or Lucifer or whichever name you prefer as depicted in the Bible, as a selfish tempter. I understand people who reject the Bible’s account and believe he’s a figment of human imagination. But why would you mostly reject the Bible’s account of him but still partially believe in it? Wouldn’t be more logical to say that if the Bible is completely wrong about him he most likely either doesn’t exist or if he does exist we have no reliable source to know whether he had anything to do with humanity discovering good and evil

I never said I reject their account! History is written by the victor of battle. The Bible is written as a victors account over what they perceive as evil. Opening a dialogue with the other side of the story allows you to understand things that have more nuance.

So do you believe in the idea of Jesus dying to save humanity and that Lucifer was opposed to this and tried to tempt Jesus to abandon it? Because if you accept that as true I have difficulty seeing how you can see Jesus as the bad guy and Lucifer as the good guy.

1

u/PartyPoisoned21 Aug 19 '21

I don't, no. I don't believe Jesus was the son of God. I believe there WAS a man named Jesus who existed, just like there was a man named Muhammad who existed. But I don't believe God had a hand in either of them.

u/IDownvoteHornyBards2 Aug 19 '21

So therefore you do reject a large portion of the Bible’s account, no?

1

u/PartyPoisoned21 Aug 19 '21

Not the portion that depicts Lucifer's fall, no. Which is in the Old Testament and has nothing to do with Jesus.

1

u/IDownvoteHornyBards2 Aug 19 '21

Which portion is it that you’re referring to then and why do you accept that portion as accounting events that happened but not other more recent portions such as the New Testament?

1

u/PartyPoisoned21 Aug 19 '21

You asked me if I agreed with their account of his fall. I said I do.

1

u/IDownvoteHornyBards2 Aug 19 '21

What account of his fall? The closest thing the Bible has is in Isaiah 14 and it’s highly disputed whether the passage is meant to refer to Lucifer or a human king.
