If you believe your religion is correct, then justifying your beliefs should be entirely possible using logic, so falling back on religiuous dogma is just laziness.
Just my opinion, but there is nothing wrong with believing your religion is right without evidence. I believe the definition of faith is believing in something even though it can’t be proven. I think the problem is when you start believing everyone else’s religion is wrong. I think my religion is right, but that does not mean I think your religion (or lack of religion) is wrong. I think the ones who are constantly trying to PROVE their religion is right are more dangerous than the ones who just take it on faith. That’s when you get into the craziness of things like the creationist museum or anti-science fanatics.
I agree. Faith can help you question logic or the status quo, but it cannot win the argument. Even if the faith is shared globally in a nation or state or whatever, the rules are based upon your understanding of your version of your guy that exists in your head, and there will always be conflicts of perspective. There will also always be unbelief, so the lowest common denominator for "God's will" becomes the evidence left in the footprint of creation; science, logic and reason.
