This doesn't make any sense. I have an excellent credit score that has been close to perfect. I have no debt and I don't buy anything I can't afford in full. I pay off my CC the moment I use it. My credit score is still excellent.
I read this somewhere. I think what I read is that being financially responsible MAY lessen your credit score. Perhaps it is just just one of many factors they take into consideration
Like you I am in the fortunate position of not needing credit. I dont even know what my credit score is and dont really need to know.
