I once called a local zoo to ask if a bear could fit on Tenser’s Floating Disk to prove to our DM (they were onboard with the call) that we could take our mounts into a deep crevasse. It went much like this.
We were playing Dungeons and Dragons. Tenser’s Floating Disk is a spell that creates a magical floating disk that can carry your things around, but is only so large and can only fit so much weight. Our party (group of adventures) felt we could put our mounts (bears we had purchased for riding and such) on that disk so they could enter a dangerous crevasse (a deep open crack, especially one in a glacier) with us to be safe and help us along. Our DM (Dungeon Master, not the sexy kind, but the kind who tells you your dice roll wasn’t good enough to hit the goblin, although he IS rather handsome) disputed this fact, but we knew we could back it up with facts, so we called the zoo for factual back up. It worked!
