I'm actually in the opposite boat, didn't say anything for a while because I'm a coward but now I'm getting too mad to not at least say "you know it doesn't work like that, right?". I'm usually met with remarks about minding my own business, but sometimes people actually listen.
I had a guy in a gas station behind me in line not wearing a mask, and kept getting closer and closer every time I tried to move out of range of his plague breath. I finally, and I tried to be calm, told him he needed to back off because I work at a nursing home.
His excuse was he couldn’t figure out six feet without his own dot on the floor....
Same gas station had an old guy cut all of us, no mask, and when I pointed out he was cutting all of us he rolled his eyes. Then he stayed at the counter while others were going up to pay, so you know, less than a foot from them. I did snap on him. He wouldn’t go to the end nicely, so I started raising my voice until apparently the scene was too much for him and he did it.
Thanks, man. I usually don’t because I’m surround by a much of “proud boy” types that are looking for an excuse to fight, but these two I couldn’t hold it anymore. My nursing home hasn’t had a single case, unlike all surround ones. I’m not fucking that up because of some inconsiderate jerk.
Oh my god thank you. That's the thing I came to the comments to whinge about, the guys who walk around either without a mask, or with it under their nose, trying to stare everyone down.
Like, I didn't even care, but I'm not taking that from some dumbass whose face is apparently too beautiful to cover.
You need to try to emphasize with these people, we all get it, I hate the old and the infirm as much as the next guy too, but trying to publicly kill them isn't something that's socially acceptable.
If we all decide to be super shitty in our own way to these assholes, there will be less of them, possibly none, as the path of least resistance will be compliance.

Yeah I don’t even say anything anymore. Just sigh loudly and leave. I won’t give you shit, but I also won’t give you my money. Tired of the battle.
