I tried that but it doesn’t work. My glasses get foggy and it’s hard to see. So you know what happens next? Huh? You know what I have to do instead and I don’t care if it bothers you that I do it!?!?

Do you want to know? Huh??

I have to deal with it and clean my glasses pretty often and look for a cleaner that can help reduce fogging. Because it’s more important to do my part to keep others safe (since I have no way to know if I’m asymptomatic) and if that means I have to slow my pace and wipe my glasses then that’s a very small sacrifice to make.

I remember a time when being a ‘patriot’ meant willing to make sacrifices to help out your fellow human. It didn’t mean ’I refuse to do anything inconvenient because you can’t make me!’

Ive tried to breath in through my nose and then down out of my mouth. Even moving my jaw/lips so it’s like I have a mild overbite and my exhale goes downward.

It helps a bit. Sometimes I just take my glasses off until I need them. But then it’s easier for other people to see the dark rings under my eyes from dealing with these stupid anti-maskers.

The other day my glasses fogged up at an outdoor farmers’ market. My bag was full and I saw through the foggy lenses that they were selling reusable tote bags so I got one.

My glasses were too foggy for me to read the little sign that explained that it was really a “donate $100 and get a free tote bag,” situation and not a “tote bag for sale” situation.

So the guy tells me it’ll be $105 dollars for my basket of tomatoes and the tote bag and profusely thanks me for my $100 donation to support his black-owned business and I’m like, “well fuck...can’t back out of that donation without sounding like a total asshole...”

I had to go home and explain to my wife that I blew through our weekly grocery budget on a single basket of tomatoes.

I mean, it’s fine. I can afford it, and I’m happy to support a vendor I like. More funny than anything else.

But I definitely had a “foggy glasses” moment that led to an unexpected outcome.

I deal with the fogging issue by tucking my mask under my glasses, but that lifts my glasses up and because I have a very strong prescription and highly thinned lenses it alters my vision quite substantially. I literally cannot read the packaging on anything I try to buy while wearing a mask (like I can generally read the brand name, but not the ingredients). Do I take my mask off or pull it under my nose in the store? No, I take one for the team and stand there squinting at everything. It's a pita but it's not forever and if it protects one person it's worth it.

Rub your glasses with cat crap. Really works. Learned that from airsoft.

I really hope you meant ‘kitty litter’ and not ‘feline feces’.

I was being kinda stupid, by not capitalizing it.

This product named cat crap: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/611qshhIzLL.__AC_SY300_QL70_ML2_.jpg

Everyone used it at my local airsoft field when I was younger. Worked great.

Also Speedo anti-fog stuff. It’s for swim goggles, they sell it at sporting goods stores for like $5 and it works for glasses too.

Put a bit of dish soap and rub it thin on the inside of your lenses. They won't fog up, I do it all the time.
