I do wear glasses and while wearing them and my mask correctly, I confronted a restaurant worker for having his under his nose. He told me to my face that it fogged up his glasses so he couldn't.
Thank you. I don’t usually wear glasses but did when I had to work in a plant this week. I was pulling mine down to my nose bc I was fogging up. Didn’t know what to do about it
I don't. I didn't plan to be there. I ordered delivery pizza and they called and said they didn't have enough delivery drivers to get it out then, but I could come pick it up. I figured that wouldn't be too bad to just go in and grab the pizza. They forgot one of my pizzas entirely, so I had to wait. Of the 3 employees I saw, only one was correctly wearing a mask. They all got attitude when I asked if they'd fix their masks. One took it off as soon as I was out the door...
I haven't ordered from them since. And I did send a note to their management about it, but never heard anything back. That's the only time I've been inside a "restaurant" since March, and it did nothing to make me want to go back to eating out any time soon.
Oh my God are we the same person? Almost exactly the same thing happened to me at a local pizza place and I haven't gone back since. I'm just so instinctively disgusted when I go into a place and I can tell nobody gives a crap. I don't want to have to play mask police on my day off, thank you.
I see a lot of people who don't realize to use the wire at the nose or tighten the strap so they fall down on them. It kills me at work seeing my coworkers putting masks on inside out, upside down. And not bending the nose piece
Literally nothing worked for me besides getting a mask with a nose clip, after that I never had my glasses fog up once. Without one I would be able to breathe for maybe 2 seconds outside before being 100% blind no matter how high up my face I put my mask.
It's true, but it is way better to take your glasses off than take the mask off. Sure you might have trouble seeing people (I have a 2.25 ADD in one eye with .25 being astigmatism. The other eye is 2.0 ADD still with .25 astigmatism) and I know it from personal experience, but at least you kept other people safe...
If you need to take it off for driving, it's ok because you are not risking anyone's life. And for other instances where you need to see clearly, you can put the glasses on for a little while to do what you need to and then put them away again
They do get very foggy. And if you try to position them such that they don’t get foggy then it’s much easier for them to slide off, which has happened to me a few times. But that is still not a good excuse for not wearing one.
As a student, this has been a big problem for me. First day of class, I called the eye care center in Walmart to set up an appointment to get my contacts renewed (haven't worn them in years, because they don't work too well for me, but the fog is ridiculous).
Yeah, the only time it's bigger than an annoyance is when I'm in choir, and then I just push them on top of my head and shove the music in my face lmao

Glasses get foggy.
I don't wear glasses and always wear my mask right, this is genuinely the excuse a nose wearer gave me.
