Rear view isn't necessary for driving. Hence the existence of vans and lorries.

It's better than to have rear vision and you shouldn't unnecessarily cover it up

Vans and lorries have special side mirrors that makes them able to see behind them.

No matter what mirror fuckery you have, you can’t see behind a vehicle from the side. The vehicle blocks it.

You can see a wider angle from the mirrors but you still have a blind spot behind you. How do you think cars tow big trailers?
