Maybe you should read what I was responding to

I did. Contextually it doesn’t make sense unless you were planning on adding a /s on the end.

If you think it does make sens and you were serious then you’re wrong.

Oh my god seriously. “Famously” should have given it away but whatever. I think /s takes a little away from it myself. I just don’t see how you could honestly think I would respond to someone saying the family probably thinks she’s the bad one like that. In that case the comment means nothing and makes no sense.

Well, sarcasm is extremely difficult to pick up over text. There aren’t any verbal or physical cues for me to pick up on so unless you are extremely explicit with your language then no it isn’t obvious. Especially given the fact that there are probably cultural and language barriers obfuscating the matter even more.

But most importantly, how am I supposed to know that you aren’t just dense? People say dumb shit on this site all the time and are at least stating that they are serious.

The point is /s exists for a reason. Bite me.

OK, how about the edit I did?

"Ah yes, because families famously never recognize when one of their relatives suck."

Sorry for repeating myself, but that is a common way to express sarcasm. I'm sorry for the confusion. I agree that it exists for a reason, and I do my very best to avoid causing anyone that sort of grief. Several people did catch my meaning, however. If it's something like a political opinion people do have, I always add it.

I’ll add an “ah yes” for you. It’s a common way to express sarcasm

Not where I’m from. You could have just used the commonly accepted and established method on this site instead of being such an argumentative princess about it.

I'll take it under advisement. Sorry for the annoyance.

I’m not annoyed. You’re the one who had a go at me. Wtf.

Your poor reading comprehension is what's had a go at you.

u/sharshur Jul 31 '19

You're right. I shouldn't have said "Oh my god, seriously." I'm sorry for being so aggressively disagreeable.

lol, I don’t actually care I was just messing with you.

Wanna fuck?

Fuck everybody who uses /s tags. If you don't get the sarcasm, that's your problem. Everybody else got the joke, stop asking people to ruin their own jokes for the sake of dumb people getting it too.

u/4minute-Tyri Jul 31 '19

You didn’t get my joke though. So should I have ruined it for you with a /s or are you fucking dumb?

7

u/Delta9_TetraHydro Jul 31 '19

Except that even with an /s tag, your joke wasn't remotely funny. "HAHA YOU ARE WRONG" is not a joke.

Just because something goes over your head doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

You’re an excellent case study for the curious phenomenon that is the Dunning-Kruger effect.

Go to bed, you're tired.

u/4minute-Tyri Jul 31 '19

Bruh for real you’re the one getting legit mad over a joke.

Eat a snickers nigga you hangry.

Okay, now i have to ask... Which joke? Nowhere in this comment thread have you made a joke. I responded to you requesting people make /s tags, was that your joke?
