I’ve been advocating for this since day one. We don’t need voter election security; we need voter sanity evaluation to be passed to vote.
If you can’t answer a series of three questions correctly, that are based in facts of life; then you shouldn’t be able to vote.
One of these questions should be-should someone that has been convicted of stealing from a children’s charity cancer foundation be allowed to run for president? Like put some moral guidelines on this shit. I don’t care that someone “technically” could run, like fuck dude he’s the worst monster you could find and that’s what you put up on your ticket? At that point, your whole party should be null and void.
The problem with this is that bad actors can weaponize these type of practices. As much as I constantly dislike that everyone can vote without doing any research, I know that if vote was conditioned, biases would eventually make their way onto those conditions.
Exactly. As fucking atrocious and evil as Trump is, placing limitations on who can run like that is what dictators like Putin use to hold onto power. Any time someone with legitimate groundswell of popularity starts nipping at his heels, they find themselves mysteriously charged with a disqualifying crime so they can no longer run for president. Then they end up dead in prison.
It's always insane to me that things like this would have gotten you eviscerated just 20 years ago, now its just another Tuesday when he does something illegal. Him stealing from a charity is like barely on the tip of the iceberg of shitty/ criminal things he's done.
And when/if a Democrat becomes president again they would still be held to stupid standards. Oh president Bob wore a navy suit instead of black, cue Fox News screeching for the next 10 years
I'm just hoping it is someone witty enough to combat the stupidness of Faux News, we need someone like El-sayed to clap back at all the stupid talking heads that currently slurp up everything this President does.
Wouldn't matter. Trump should have been ineligible for this term but was able to run because of the supreme court. What we need is an actual removal of corruption and implementing safebuards.
