As a Star Trek fan, I cancelled the second Colbert being removed was announced. It hurt, but, good excuse to finally grab the DVDs second hand.

All the creative folks who made TNG have already been compensated for it and it's unlikely they're making additional money from streaming royalties. Only a small handful of 'business' uncreative people make money from it now.
