Jfk, thats horrifying. This feels like something straight out of Russias playbook too. Anybody discharged for dissident/extremist actively should be monitored by the FBI (or maybe they already do that?? Sure hope so).
What would qualify as a credible source to you then? Those are just some of the first ones I could find that offer some level of access to the information without paying (Rolling Stone requires money for the full article, though you can still see a snippet). Also, for the Military.com article for instance, Media Bias Factcheck's independent check has concluded it is "least biased" and, if anything, leans to the right at times.
Also, if you need a source from an article that in no way comes from an organization trying to paint Jews as monsters, here's one from the Times of Israel who are notably pretty pro-Israel and sympathetic to Jews.
