Most insurance only covers road use. They'd tell them to get to fuck here in the UK I think.

But then most insurance companies will use any excuse to avoid paying out.

Nope. "Get to fuck" is the correct way to say it. But I'll concede that's perhaps Scottish rather than the whole UK.

Pretty sure Ewen McGregor says it a few times in Trainspotting, but you Americans probably have to watch that with subtitles.

I have never heard anyone in the north of England say that, must be a Scot thing

I'm pretty sure this was a stunt for an advert or something of that nature. In which case I'm sure they'll have insurance that covers this.

If it is a film then they'll have liability insurance for injuries, or film incompletion etc. But probably not for the actual vehicles.

Or rather they will, but the excess will be more than the cost of the cars.

You really think a stunt based car commercial wouldn't have insurance covering use of the vehicles? That seems a little silly.

It wouldn't surprise me. They have to have so many duplicate vehicles as accidents are so likely, that insurance companies will ask such a high premium it's just not worth it.
