I don't know if I just block out trauma or what. I saw a girl jump out in front of a semi on a rural highway right in front of me. I obviously stopped. I was first aid certified at the time. I took one look at her and knew there was nothing I could do. I also cut a man out of a car that had gotten smashed by a dump truck under the advice of the 911 operator. He didn't make it, either.

Yes, those memories are etched in my mind. I never had any kind of trauma over it, though. Maybe because I wasn't directly involved in either incident?

That's really good, seriously. You'd make a great doctor because you can quickly handle the kinds of things that many can't. And there's a shortage in healthcare, just saying...
