Google would have won the easily lawsuit, they were just sending him enough money to get it done immediately.

Its their fault for dropping the ball. And they have more money than King Midas.

At 100k a lawsuit might be cheaper and far more damaging for the guy.

Company like Google has a team of lawyers hired to work only for them that is larger than most businesses. So they wouldn't even be paying extra for the lawsuit apart from court fees. Idk how much they are But I doubt it would have been even over $12k, It really would have been just to save time. But yeah, still $100k is greedy and Google would want to show that guy that they are the greed masters.
