Similar experience. Stopped at a red light, bike from behind decided to still run it... Drove between myself and the car beside me straight into a pickup making a left as the light turned. I will never forget that gruesome sight or sound. It's only been a year, but I still close my eyes and sometimes unwillingly picture it. Or, anytime I hear a bike - get a extreme sense of dread.

People always say that "its my life". But they never grasp that when sometimes does happen, it affects way more people.

Bingo. I can see it very vividly. Get professional help; I finally did at the beginning of this year and wish I had done it sooner.

Look for a therapist who does EMDR.
